Robert Kahn
Associate
A native of Chicago, Robert (Rob) has resided in California for more than 25 years. He obtained his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Rob has been a practicing attorney since 2004. Before joining KMFM, he spent several years as an in-house and business transactional and litigation attorney, dedicating his time and energy to providing general litigation and employment counseling for his corporate clients, defending his company-clients in wrongful termination suits, and drafting a variety of business agreements and various documents.
In his past roles as a corporate counsel, he partnered with his clients to make sure their legal requirements make good business sense. This ensured the clients saw the value proposition for the legal work undertaken. As an example, Rob was Corporate Counsel and Manager of the Legal and HR-Services Departments at MMC-HR, LLC, regularly consulting with the company’s clients on Human Resource best practices and the general legal issues they routinely faced. In the past he has served as General Counsel for several firms, including a privately held manufacturing company that generated approximately $100 million in yearly revenue and employed approximately 350 individuals nationwide. Because Rob endeavors to understand his clients, he has been able to offer incisive legal advice that dovetails with the goals of each client’s ventures.
